In this room and in this House you are seen as the precious guest, the friend who brings gifts of colourful experiences, amazing talents, journey-scents of east and west, north and south, capacities and capabilities, step traces of origin and destination, gifts of dreams; a guest who hosts his/her own soul-yearnings…
And our common yearning and highest care of authenticity, Self, Community, Synergy.

You are awakened by the Sun’s first greeting in his very home-island.
As part of Synergy’s offerings of the noble art of hosting, cultivating and building “emerald cultures”, cultures of thriving, inner and outer, cultures of real collaboration, personal and collective leadership, participation and creative pareas bringing their “meraki”, fun and magic “at work” , this new invitation is already shining through, welcoming 2017. The SunRising Room is a core part of what Synergy is as a hub of local and translocal collaborations, weaved through the very profound principles of hospitality, integrity and participatory leadership and building relationships and artful, sacred economy for the “Next-Stage World” …The World and Life we want for us and the next generations. And it all starts from our own life, work, homes, families, organisations; Our ways of relating to self and each other, our ways of organizing, purposefully and compassionately.

We know that Process, “the how” is container of relationship and efficiency…
We also know that “synergy” is both a subtle and very tangible wise design of being together, hosting teams, communication and collaboration, hosting the honourable “xenos”/foreign/guest, hosting diversity. We see this so inspiringly in nature and living systems. So in this experience, being hosted in the SunRising Room, you are embraced in this wisdom and joy of “synergetic process”, creative collaboration and you have all our offerings at your choice and co-creation intention-attention. Here is a handful of these gifts available for combination in your stay, holy days, retreat days or creative active working days with us:
Present as presents in the room are colours and artworks from the crafts of nature and everyday life, both beautiful and simple. Present, though, are presents from the past, too and the precious ancestors. Maria’s grandmother’s rugs and chair-mats made by humble materials of the previous century in times when creativity transforms poverty into beauty and usefulness… bringing forth through cracks of space and crisis lessons for today. As the wise hellenic language reveals this is the foundation of economy. The word for “money” in Greek is «χρήμα», which translates into “what is needed”, what’s needed for life to flourish, for balance and sustainable income-outcome, real eco (home)-nomy (balanced distribution, management, order). This is the very foundation that has brought the SunRising Room into life since the beginning with friends and family contributing into its hosting capacity in offering and receiving other gifts of hospitality, manifesting the power of abundance in exchange economy.
Thus the bed in this room is a gift of our friends and partners in proaction learning, Rainer and Lena. The magically assorted chest of drawers is a generous gift by family, brother Michalis and his wife Vasso with whom we cherish a lovely mutual exchange -something that happens often in the Greek family culture. This is exactly our economy-principle in opening the SunRising Room to you. An agreement and understanding of the value of this experience, your own needs, our needs to make this experience unique and valuable, in a frame and spirit of our hospitality in service of life, humanity, synergy and love. Every time, with every guest, every friend and partner who visits we co-create a unique frame of hospitality, “a contract of mutual respect, and generosity”.
In the ancestors’ gift collection in this room there is also a “flour sack”, two loom-weaved light rugs, pillowcases, blankets and other fabric-made pieces that are calling for bridges between cultures, generations, arts and crafts, practices… What would your own presence see, feel and offer to these and how would it interact with them?...
